ifm DP2200 Threshold Display
In many industrial applications it is necessary to monitor drives for rotational speed or standstill, measure speeds, frequencies, distances, angles or positions and display, process and transmit current process values.
The indication and detection of analogue standard signals is an important requirement for the reliable operation of plants and machinery. Threshold relays and displays with analogue input indicate actual values. Switching outputs signal if limit values are reached or exceeded.
The multi functional display services to indicate physical quantities derives from analogue standard signals. Various parameters can be configured to adjust the function of the unit to the individual application.
The two analogue inputs can be scaled independently of each other and displayed individually or in combination, allowing configuration as differential pressure display or percentage display.
The two switching outputs can also be set independently of each other. This makes it possible, for example, to control the automation filling process of a vessel by means of a pump. The display can easily be integrated in housings or panels.
DBI Control have used the DP2200 Threshold Display to monitor the temperature of an application roller for a Rim Coater machine. The signal was evaluated on the display unit house externally within 1.8m of the sensor. With its decentralised display, pre-processing and conversion of analogue signals, it was ideal for the job.
The main features of the DP2200 Threshold Display are …
- Mini display to monitor values
- Clearly visible display with red/green colour change
- Compact design with protection rating IP 67
- Parameter setting via IO-Link
- Conversion of analogue measured values to an IO-Link communication.
The compact connector unit is simply inserted in the connection cable of analogue sensors (4…20Ma). It measures the measured values locally.
The user can set a switch point of limit at which the transistor output switches. A colour change (red/green) of the display indicates this unmistakably. Critical process states or operational problems are therefore reliably signalled.
