ifm EVT Connectors
ifm’s ecolink series comprises sockets, cable plugs, jumper cables and splitter boxes in M8 and M12 design. The range is complemented by wirable sockets and plugs.
Sockets are generally used in automation technology to connect sensors and actuators with connectors to splitter boxes. Even when fastened by hand, a perfect lasting seal of sensor and actuator connections is guaranteed.
The integrated end stop protects the O-ring against destruction caused by over-tightening the nut. Even in harsh environments, the connectors are protected against unintended loosening by a special vibration protection.
Some types are fitted with highly visible LEDs for operation and switching status indication.
The high-grade stainless-steel nut and food-grade sealing materials qualify the ecolink EVT series for use in hygienic and wet areas. The products are resistant to frequent high-pressure cleaning with aggressive cleaning agents.
Thanks to their wide temperature range and their insensitivity to fast temperature changes, they are particularly suited for use in the food and beverage industry.
Reliable processing is essential in order to obtain a high-quality end-product, with quality and food safety playing a decisive role. A wide range of connectors enables easy and hygienic integration into the process equipment.
ifm’s EVT Connectors benefits are …
- For use in hygienic and wet areas in the food industry
- Permanent, reliable sealing even when mounted without tools
- Large operating temperature range and high protection rating
- Vibration and shock resistant thanks to coupling ring with locking mechanism
- Mechanical end-stop to protect the O-ring from destruction
DBI Control have recently been using the ifm EVT005 Connectors in a project involving a conveyor system for one of the largest bakery chains in the UK, for maximum hygiene and to ensure reliability even in the harshest of environments.
