Pfannenberg FLZ Hygrostat
The conditions inside a control panel must be such as to preserve the reliability of the equipment contained within it.
The correct thermal analysis and thermal management of a panel is one of the most important actions for guaranteeing performance and reliability over time, as well as for compliance with the relevant regulations.
The formation of condensation is one of the biggest dangers – if they are working under load, their own warmth prevents water from condensing.
If the process is switched off, the switchgear cools down and this is where the function of the heaters begins, ideally complemented by thermostats and hygrostats from the FLZ series.
Together. they ensure that the temperature inside the control cabinet is always correct and that the formation of condensation is prevented.
Hygrostats from the FLZ series switch on control cabinet heaters or filterfans when a present relative humidity is exceeded.
With a hygrostat, we have the additional function of measuring the air humidity as well as the temperature.
The relative humidity is kept above the dew point and the condensation of water on electrical components and the corrosion of unprotected sheet metal is prevented.
The electronic combination device unit’s thermostat and hygrostat in one housing and, at the same time, monitors the relative humidity and the temperature independently of each other.
In combination with filterfans, they provide for additional savings on energy, materials and time, creating a better environmental balance.
And in combination with control cabinet heaters, they serve for temperature control inside the control cabinet.
The electrical connection is quick and easy using screw terminals, and fast snap fastening on DIN rail.
Using hygrostats, you can achieve greater reliability in the production process, reduced energy consumption due to need-based use and an improvement in the efficiency of the controlled heaters and filter fans.
