SITOP PSU8600 Power Supplies
SITOP PSU8600 is the first power supply system with a complete integration in Totally Integrated Automation; this not only pays off in engineering in the TIA Portal or in manufacturer-independent communication systems, but also in operation.
For example, the voltage and current can be individually adjusted for each output, and the integrated overload protection enables each output to be monitored.
With its entire integration in Totally Integrated Automation (TIA), SITOP PSU8600 is the first power supply system to offer notably simple, fast and convenient engineering in the TIA Portal, as well as an extensive evaluation of operating and diagnostic data and energy management functions.
Furthermore, the same functions can be realised with open communication either via OPC UA or with the SITOP Manager.
SITOP PSU8600 offers the optimum basis to identify and eliminate faults at an early stage, initiate preventive maintenance and avoid plant downtimes. This includes monitoring all of the outputs – and selectively switching them off when a fault develops, for instance.
As a consequence, a short circuit or an overload at an individual load does not mean that the complete plant or system shuts down. 50% extra power for short-term loads as well as the ability to buffer brief power failures up to 20 seconds at a full 40 A load are further advantages that the SITOP PSU8600 can offer.
Additionally, buffer and battery operation are signalled for line-side voltage dips, and the time that the power actually failed – an ideal indicator to evaluate line quality.
SITOP PSU8600 offers a lot – in a highly compact design. This not only includes 50% extra power for brief overloads, but also integrated overload monitoring for every output
With its modular design, SITOP PSU8600 can be flexibly adapted to address the particular application. The System Clip Link is a connector for system data and power supply. This allows basic devices to be expanded using expansion modules, buffer modules, and uninterruptible power supplies without requiring any wiring.
With SITOP PSU8600, a power supply can be completely integrated in open, networked automation applications and in the TIA Portal for the first time. Engineering in the TIA Portal is particularly easy, fast and convenient – e.g. Setting up the network connection via PROFINET as well as selecting and parameterizing the power supply, including switching on and off of individual outputs.
