Most warehouses & logistic operations have buffer storage requirements that necessitate the ability for conveyors to accumulate products.

An accumulating conveyor holds the product in place before it is released to the next phase in a sortation/production process, or when a downstream machine/process needs to be stopped or diverted to receive product from another line.
