DBI has made the decision to enhance its in house design capabilities by investing in EPLAN which has become the preferred standard throughout the sectors of Industry DBI operates in.
This has meant moving away from Promis-E, which has been our preferred electrical design package to date.
To enhance our knowledge and facilitate a seamless transition period Engineers at DBI Control have recently undertaken additional training in how to optimise their work with the use of EPLAN electric P8 electrical engineering.
In addition to this DBI had recruited a dedicated Design Engineer to bolster our in house design capabilities and drive this Plan forward.
A key factor in this decision was the ability to work alongside our engineering partners to maximise theirs and our efficiency and productivity when working on projects.
This has already proven to be a great advantage.
EPLAN electric P8 is an electrical engineering design program that enhances efficiency in designing, documenting and managing the automation projects for machinery.
This CAE platform is setting the pace in engineering, it provides the basic functions used throughout electrical engineering, I&C engineering, fluid power engineering or in control cabinet and switchgear engineering.
EPLAN has plenty of advantages over CAD packages that we use here at DBI to enhance our work, these include:
