We have been involved in both Control System & Mechanical improvements, automating manual operations, implemeting “no faults forward” or “poka yoke” to existing processes.

The picture illustrates a project where old thyristor controllers were replaced within a short window with modern Eurotherm Epower equivalents.

This not only improved glass quality, it improved yield with the virtualy no down time during production runs.

Our latest project was implementing a lean manufacturing process for tumble driers; this incorporated an “andon” system utilising a Siemens S7 Control solution.

This was a brainchild of the forward thinking Engineering team who put there faith in DBI bringing their concept into reality.
