Rittal is a German manufacturing company, specialising in enclosures, climate-control technology and power distribution gear. DBI Control use Rittal for most of the jobs we produce, as they have a wide range of cooling units, enclosure heaters and temperature control devices we fit into our panels.

Rittal offers a range of Air Cooling units such as …

These units use a diagonal fan technology to evenly distribute air and avoid hot spots. This provides improved performance and the slim-line vent grill allows optimum air throughput in enclosures and housing, and a more constant air flow over a wider area.

A speed control device can be applied to the fan-and-filter unit to vary the fan speed in response to the cooling demand; therefore the fan will be switched off when it’s not required. The assembly of these units is completely tool free; they can be simply mounted and the air flow direction can be changed to suit personal preference, with electrical connections and maintenance being made easy.

There is a wide range to choose from, depending on what kilowatt cooling output you need for your personal requirement. Rittal’s enclosures are designed for ultimate protection; from solid objects such as dust, to water from rain / snow outside, making it ideal for external or internal mounting in doors or walls via standard mounting cut-outs.

For a smaller panel, or an enclosure where doors / side panels are necessary as an emergency exit, a Roof-mounted cooling unit can be used to save space due to its compact size.

Rittal’s Roof-mounted cooling products have ultimate flexibility when air distribution is considered, and specific areas in the enclosure that need cooler air can be targeted. Roof-mounted cooling units can be used in laboratories, shops and office environments due to the minimal noise levels the fans produce.

Additionally, DBI Control often integrates heaters into our panels; if the temperature drops below the minimum range you can run the risk of exposing your panel to corrosion and condensation. DBI Control use heaters to normalise the temperature and, similarly to the coolers, can be set to only activate when necessary which saves energy.
