Canalplast Cable Trunking
Cable trunking is used to protect cables from damage and to hide unsightly cables from view.
It can be used in almost any location including homes, offices and indoor workspaces, electrical workshops, schools, hotels and hospitals.
Electrical trunking is available in many materials, sizes and forms to suit the location and requirements of the installation.
Trunking is usually square or rectangular in shape, whilst providing easy access to the cable when needed via a hinge or slide system.
Cable trunking is used as both protection and organisation of multiple running cables.
Cable protection is important within any workplace to ensure devices or machines continue to operate efficiently.
Due to health and safety reasons, cable should always be kept tidy and organised; cable trunking will achieve this by eliminating any possible tripping hazards and organise any cables which would otherwise be running loosely around floors and walls.
There are various types such as PVC and plastic, stainless steel, aluminium and other metals, depending on the environment and type of wiring.
If cables need to be replaced or re-wired, trunking will make the job simpler due to easily accessing the relevant wire.
The robust trunking also serves as a protector from cables being damaged by falling objects or being trodden on, and significantly lower the fire risk.
DBI Control always use Canalplast Cable Trunking within our panels. For the past 30 years, Canalplast has been in a leader in both development and production of wiring ducts for electrical appliances.
They have wiring ducts with large fingers and larger slots for easy insertion of larger wires and cables.
The smooth wire entry allows for quick insertion of wires and have a staggered mounting hole pattern for use in cabinets which are designed to these standards.
Canalplast also have a halogen free trunking range, that develop good resistance to chemical and marine substances and prevent the material from catching fire, even when in direct contact with the flames.
These are ideal for use in public buildings with a high density such as rail vehicles, hostile environments and military applications.
