Control Panel Cooling Systems
Cooling systems are a critical way to manage the climate within a Control Panel enclosure; when the temperature rises there is a danger of equipment getting damaged, malfunctioning or having its life expectancy cut short.
This is why within all of our Control Panels; DBI Control will always install cooling systems, and will also fit new climate control equipment into older Control Panels to make them as reliable as when they were when originally built.
DBI Control was asked by one of our clients LINPAC to supply and install cooling systems within 2 system enclosures of differing sizes.
The size dimensions of the already existing enclosures was provided as well as the cooling requirements, so DBI Control went to work finding the highest quality and most suitable cooling systems.
The Rittal Cooling Systems chosen were …
- SK 3361.500 Wall-mounted cooling units TopTherm “Blue e”
- SK 3238.100 Top Term Fan and Filter Unit
- SK 3238.200 Outlet Filter Standard
- SK 3110.000 Enclosure internal thermostat
DBI Controls engineers carried out most of this work off site in our Panel shop, and travelled to LINPAC’s factory in St Helens, Merseyside to install the equipment.
Installing the Control Panel Cooling Systems will have ensured a long and reliable life for LINPAC’s electrical equipment, keeping costs lower and eliminating company downtime in the future.
