ifm SL5101 Flow switch
In industrial processes where liquids, air or gases are used, process sensors serve to measure and detect pressure, temperature, flow and levels.
Flow sensors monitor the coolant and lubricant supply of machines, power units and industrial furnaces, or ensure ventilation of installations and buildings.
In almost all fields of process and plant engineering, liquids and gases are used. Electronic flow sensors are used to prevent damage or downtime caused by flow interruptions.
ifm’s product range comprises flow sensors with different measuring principles for monitoring the most varied types of media, including water, oils and coolants, but also air, compressed air or aggressive media.
Their application areas range from simple monitoring tasks to precise flow rate measurements.
ifm’s compact SL type sensor serves to monitor airflow. It is mainly used in ventilation units of building management systems to ensure sufficient air supply. To protect control cabinets against overheating, the airflow monitor monitors the fan operation of the control cabinet cooling.
A potentiometer ensures simple switch point setting. The immersion depth into the duct can be modified as required using the supplied mounting clamp. Titanium sensing faces ensure reliable operation even if the air is polluted.
