Levelflex FMP57
The Levelflex FMP57 is the sensor for the highest demands in bulk solids and best suited for measurements in bunkers or stock piles. Providing rope probes up to a length of 45m, the FMP57 is also suited to measurements in high silos.
The Levelflex FMP57 guided radar is used for continuous level measurement in powdery to granular bulk solids. Dust, filling noises, temperature layers and gas layers do not affect measurement.
The Levelflex FMP57 is a downward-looking measuring system that functions according to the Time of Flight method. The distance from the reference point to the product surface is measured.
High-frequency pulses are injected into a probe and led along the probe. The pulses are reflected by the product surface, received by the electronic evaluation unit and converted into level information.
The reflected pulses are then transmitted from the probe to the electronics. There, a microprocessor analyses the signals and identifies the level echo which was generated by the reflection of the high-frequency pulses at the product surface.
The benefits of the Levelflex FMP57 are …
- Reliable measurement even for changing product and process conditions
- HistoROM data management concept for fast and easy commissioning, maintenance and diagnostics
- Highest reliability due to new Multi-Echo Tracking evaluation
- Hardware and software developed according to IEC 61508 up to SIL3
- Heartbeat Technology for a cost-effective and safe plant operation during the entire life cycle
- Seamless integration into control or asset management systems and intuitive, menu-guided operation concept (on-site or via the control system)
- World’s easiest proof test for SIL and WHG saves time and costs
DBI Control have used the Levelflex FMP57 in a recent project to measure the level of recycled polystyrene in black fluff silos.
The Levelflex FMP57 is an efficient piece of technology and is the standard sensor for the highest demands for level measurement in bulk solids.
