Safety Upgrades
All employees are entitled to a workplace where they feel their health and safety is protected, and ensuring that the machinery your company uses is secure should be a priority.
DBI Control are often contacted to assist in safety upgrades for businesses, and will improve the machinery to a time scale and budget agreed by all parties involved.
A recent example is when Indesit approached us to see if we could help them improve their current safety measures; they wanted us to manufacture light guarding to protect the machine operator from direct contact to the base during electrical safety testing.
There were 6 bays that required protection, and after Indesit supplied drawings we were able to create more advanced safety measures for the employees.
DBI Controls team of expert engineer’s secured aluminium guarding 2 metres high and fitted it with Perspex guarding to protect workers from the conveyors, and ensured access was still maintained to the Junction boxes.
As well as improving the current system with up to date emergency stop buttons, we also updated sensors to immediately stop the machinery should anything occur to affect the running of the conveyors.
In the before and after images above it is clear to see that DBI Control successfully managed to use the materials and space provided, and created a safe environment to keep everybody protected.
When supplying materials we used SICK safe series protective devices, as large machine systems are obligated to have safety sensors to ensure the machine is stopped should any danger or faults occur.
Today there are so many different industries that require varying wiring sensors and SICK offers an appropriate solution for every sector. SICK connection products are the solution to safely stopping machines and are reliable in protecting your employees and company alike.
DBI Control use the best suppliers for the job, and with the highest levels of safety and cost effectiveness, it is obvious SICK is the right solution to fit any requirements.
