Siemens 5TE Switches
Fuse switch disconnectors, switch disconnectors and in-line disconnectors with and without fuses – Siemens offer you everything for cost-effective, safe and reliable switching and protecting.
When electrical systems are to be switched on or off manually, the manual switching devices are reliable in use. These switching devices have been developed perfectly and adapted in detail for switching loads and for control procedures.
Where systems and loads are controlled using electrical signals; electrical switching devices such as remote switches, switching relays or Insta contactors are used.
Safety, convenience and energy savings – these characterise automatic switching.
Control and automatic functions always employ electrical switching. Remote control switches for pulse controls, switching relays or Insta contactors then switch the electrical loads.
Siemens BETA low-voltage circuit protection offers a wide variety of contact versions and rated currents for the different requirements of these devices.
Siemens are proudly the only provider currently with VDE approval for remote control switches.
Two-way switches are used in control cabinets and distribution boards for switching small loads on/off or over.
Group switches with centre position permit the positions open/stop/closed, for example to control anti-clockwise rotation – Off – clockwise rotation.
Control switches in a range of contact versions have an integral control lamp for the ON setting.
The auxiliary switch (AS) signals the contact position of the switch. It has the same design as the auxiliary switch used for the miniature circuit breakers.
The benefits of the Siemens 5TE Switches are …
- Can be bus-mounted with each other or with 5TE 4 8 pushbuttons, 5TE5 9 light indicators or 5TT4 1 remote control switches and 5TT4 2 switching relays
- The handle locking device prevents undesired manual on and off switching
- The handle locking device is a universal accessory for all switches and MCBs
