DBI Control have been customers of Rittal for many years because of the reliable and intelligent products they offer. This is why we have so often used Rittals’ climate control equipment in our control systems.

One of our recent projects was to design, manufacture and install an 8-Colour Can Decorator for our customer based in Wrexham, North Wales. The machine was designed to flawlessly produce decorated beverage cans at high speed, reducing changeover time for the can manufacturers who produce high volumes of vans in short runs while minimising spoilage and saving ink.

Designed with speed, precision and reliability in mind, DBI Controls 8-Colour Can Decorator uses advanced features to bring a new level of performance. To achieve the best result, we installed the Rittal SK 3187.930 SK Blue e+ Cooling Unit to control the temperature of our G120 Drive enclosure housing the control panel controlling the 8-Colour Can Decorator.

The assembly of the Rittal SK 3187.930 Blue e+ Cooling Units was simple and rapid due to the handle for convenient transport and position, as well as the mounting clips as securing aids and eye bolts for easy mounting.

The active cooling circuit with speed-regulated components allow for demand-based cooling, and the integral heat pipe dissipates heat from the enclosure as soon as the ambient temperature falls below the set point.

The component-friendly cooling offers a longer service life and you can determine your energy savings with the efficiency calculator. Our customer is now able to gather information faster using remote monitoring via Ethernet, and also simple repair, maintenance and spare parts enquiries can be set directly via smart-phone.
